Perhaps soon the famous glazed cheese curds “B.Yu. Alexandrov" will be on sale again. In 2022, the manufacturer of the goods, the Rostagrokompleks company, was forced to change the name of the product due to a dispute with the heiress of the deceased founder of the company and the termination of license agreements. Glazed cheese curds of the Rostagrokompleks brand are now on store shelves. Boris Alexandrov's daughter, Ekaterina, recently announced to the press her intention to resume the production of B.Yu. Alexandrov" according to the father's technology. The opening of the new company is announced for the first half of 2023.
Ekaterina Alexandrova also told reporters about what has already been done and is planned for the resumption of business:
- a plant was purchased in one of the regions of the Russian Federation, capable of processing up to 300 tons of raw milk per day. This is more than enough for the production of glazed curds, therefore, it is possible that the company will also release other dairy products;
- it is planned to use the old technology, the daughter of Boris Aleksandrov assured that she had worked with her father on the production of curds for 15 years and was well acquainted with all the nuances. At the same time, the recipe may change, for example, some ingredients may be replaced;
- products are supposed to be offered to large retail chains. The heiress of the founder of a successful brand believes that there will be no problems with this, since the product is already familiar to the consumer;
- it is planned to attract several partners to start production.
Ekaterina Alexandrova did not name the specific location of the new plant, the volume of investments and the names of investors. The purchase of a plant of such capacity and the launch of its own production can cost about 1 billion rubles, but a lot depends on the characteristics of the acquired object, whether it is a property complex or a ready-made business.
Cheese brand "B.Yu. Alexandrov were particularly popular in the competitive Russian market due to the use of quality raw materials, both milk and chocolate. The consumer during the absence of the product on the shelves of stores could wean from it, so it is important to show the continuity of the brand. The success of the project will show the future.
Currently, disputes around the brand "B.Yu. Alexandrov" continues. Ms. Alexandrova, who returned to continue her father's business from France, where she previously lived permanently, filed several lawsuits against Rostagrokompleks for violating the terms of the license agreement. Alexandrova's rights under license agreements are disputed by her sister, Ekaterina, in turn, has questions about the legality of the adoption procedure of the latter.
