State defense order 2023.

The President of the Russian Federation, in the course of his appeal to the prosecutors of the country, drew their attention to the need to strengthen control over the fulfillment of the state defense order in a timely manner.

An appeal to law enforcement officers was made during the congratulations on their professional holiday, the video and text are posted on the Kremlin website. The fact is that January 12 of each year is celebrated as the Day of the Prosecutor's Office, introduced by Presidential Decree of 1995. Vladimir Putin addressed prosecutors and veterans, and at the end of his speech, he separately emphasized how important it is to respect the rights of mobilized and volunteers in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, for which, in his opinion, it is necessary to strengthen control over the work of defense industries.

Also in the speech was the following:

- the prosecutor's office has always been a reliable support of the state and continues to be so;
- prosecutors help to make the Russian Federation a legal, as well as a democratic state, contribute to the strengthening of public order;
- over the past anniversary year (the 300th anniversary of the Russian Prosecutor’s Office was celebrated in January 2022), certain results have been achieved in work, personal methods have become more effective. Citizens, including those from the most vulnerable categories (disabled people, children left without parental care, pensioners) receive decent assistance and protection of their rights, Vladimir Putin noted. The President urged prosecutors to continue their work on advising and defending the rights of the population;
- the head of state considered the coordination of activities to protect law and order, combating corruption, protecting businesses and citizens, combating extremism, and environmental activities among the priority and key areas of activity of the prosecutor's office;
- Vladimir Putin separately mentioned the need for prosecutors to assist the integration of new regions of the Russian Federation into the federation.

The head of state also stressed that the prosecutor's office has all the necessary powers to fulfill its tasks.

Recall that employees of defense enterprises have the right to deferment from mobilization by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 647, and in accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1365, defense workers are allowed to work on weekends, holidays and overtime without their consent. A new article 201.1 has been introduced into the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, providing for liability for repeated violation of the state defense order.

According to media reports, a draft law is currently being developed, according to which the Prosecutor General's Office will gain access to the Unified Information System, which accumulates data on the execution of the state defense order.
