A bankruptcy petition has been filed against the owner of Planet Sushi.
The information resource published data on the filing of an application for bankruptcy of the limited liability company "Restaurant United Chain and Latest Technologies of Euro-American Development RESTORTS", abbreviated as "Rosinter Restaurants". Its author and initiator of the bankruptcy case is the company's creditor Pozhtechholding LLC.
Rosinter Restaurants is known for operating several well-known restaurant chains, including Planet Sushi.
The reason for going to court to declare the company insolvent (bankrupt) is its significant debt to the creditor. It was formed under an agreement on the maintenance of fire alarm systems, in addition, a penalty was calculated. The amount of the principal debt under the agreement is 1,200,000 rubles, the amount of the penalty is 177,000 rubles.
In addition to "Planet Sushi", "Rosinter Restaurants" manages "Tgi Fridays", "Il Patio", "Shikari".
Representatives of the company "Rosinter Restaurants" explained to journalists that all payment obligations were fulfilled by the owner of the restaurant chain, the statement of creditors is groundless. Therefore, they are sure that the bankruptcy application will not be developed, the case will be dismissed by the court.
The file of arbitration cases contains data on the filing of an application on February 15, 2022, but no information is reflected on the Federal resource. Meanwhile, in accordance with Part 2.1 of Art. 7 FZ-171 on bankruptcy, the right to apply to the court arises for the creditor only if the relevant notice is published 15 days before on the Federal Resource (Unified Federal Register of Information on the Facts of the Activities of Legal Entities).
There has not yet been any news of Rosinter Restaurants having serious financial problems in the media, although its profits in recent years have declined significantly over the past two years due to the pandemic. In 2019, the profit amounted to about 6.3 billion rubles, and in 2021 it decreased to 1.8 billion.
