Parallel imports have been extended to 2023.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed that the Government does not intend to give up parallel imports yet and it has already been decided to extend it for at least a year. The minister said that a corresponding decision had been prepared.

In the spring, the legislative framework was changed, parallel imports were introduced before the end of this year. The list of goods for parallel imports was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in May and includes a wide variety of goods.
At the end of the summer, it was estimated that the volume of parallel imports to Russia reached almost $6.5 billion, despite the fears of some Russians about the quality of the goods thus supplied. Then Manturov announced the need to take a balanced approach to the policy of parallel imports and the possibility of withdrawing a number of products from it if Russian producers can replace the goods.
The possible extension of parallel imports was discussed earlier, for example, this was announced in early September by the head of the Ministry of Economy Maxim Reshetnikov. He also said that while the extension of the mechanism for another year is being considered.
