Ministry of Finance against nominal migration: new measures against tax optimization.
The Ministry of Finance has proposed measures to combat the nominal migration of companies and individual entrepreneurs (IEs) using the simplified taxation system (USN) to regions with reduced rates of this single tax, which replaces all other taxes.
Corresponding amendments to the legislation were sent for consideration to the executive bodies of the subjects by State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Sazanov. The amendments suggest that for businesses on the simplified taxation system, which re-registered in a region with a lower tax rate, the previously effective level of tax burden will be maintained for three years.
These proposals are being considered at the request of the subjects. Such changes are aimed at preventing unjustified tax benefits by re-registering businesses in other regions.
