Aleksey Pivovarov is going to sue the Cossack choir due to the blocking of the release on the "Edition" channel.

The Russian journalist, TV and radio host, as well as the founder and author of the YouTube channel, Alexei Pivovarov, had serious disagreements with the artistic director of the Kuban Cossack Choir. Pivovarov directly stated on his Instagram page and Telegram channel that it was Viktor Zakharchenko who was responsible for blocking the October issue of the Editorial Office, dedicated to the Cossacks. This project is being developed by Pivovarov and in the next issue of his heroes are "real and imaginary", in the words of the journalist, the Cossacks. Viktor Zakharchenko also took part in the program. The "Edition" channel on YouTube has 2.6 million subscribers, which is quite a lot, issues are released regularly, the authors position themselves as representatives of journalism on YouTube.

YouTube is known to block releases on its own, but more often based on complaints. Very often this happens for posting dubious content or not unique, infringing copyright according to the copyright holders.

Alexey Pivovarov refers to such a complaint. He claims that Zakharchenko, who probably "didn't like the way he looked there (in the release)," filed a complaint and turned to YouTube, and the reason was copyright infringement when using a fragment of one of the songs of the Cossack choir called "It won't come for me Spring".

However, agreeing with the weight of such arguments in case of misuse of the work, Pivovarov claims that there is an agreement with the Kuban Choir regarding intellectual property. In addition, the journalist claims that he has evidence (payment documents confirming the transfer of funds) of payment for using a fragment of the song. In this connection, Pivovarov intends to go to court. He also assures subscribers that the release will soon appear on the channel (probably after the settlement of relations with YouTube).

Viktor Zakharchenko, in response to press inquiries, said that he knew nothing about the blocking of the release on the Revision channel.
