An Altai businessman intends to bankrupt the Turquoise Katun SEZ.
Businessman Andrey Manokhin intends to send an application to the Arbitration Court demanding that the Biryuzovaya Katun Tourist and Recreational Special Economic Zone OJSC be declared bankrupt, Kommersant reports.
Manokhin is a co-owner of one of the Turquoise Katun resident companies - the Red Stone tourist complex. Between the entrepreneur and the SEZ there are mutual financial obligations in accordance with the court decisions that have entered into force. The reasons why the businessman went to court were not disclosed.
Earlier, the head of the tourism development department of the Altai Territory, Evgeny Deshevykh, admitted that the Turquoise Katun SEZ continues to experience financial difficulties. In addition, this circumstance is not related to the economic consequences of the pandemic and forced downtime.
"Turquoise Katun" is a complex of natural and extreme tourism on an area of 3.3 thousand hectares. The total investment in the project is 30 billion rubles. On the territory of the complex, a tourist flow of more than 1 million people a year and the creation of 3.5 thousand places for tourists were planned.
